Tanisa Hudson, 32, was arrested Tuesday and charged with breach of peace and first-degree threatening, after "going on a tirade to a DCF worker," after she failed to adhere to an education plan for her child, said Stamford Sgt. Joseph Kennedy.
The incident began Monday when a teacher from her child's school reported that Hudson was not adhering to an ordered educational plan that was set up for her child, Kennedy said.
That's when she became very upset and angry at the worker from the state Department of Children and Families, he added.
She repeated several times to the worker that she was going to shoot the principal and blow up the school, Kennedy said.
The worker tried to calm Hudson down without success.
"These are seasoned workers so when they become concerned, we take them seriously and began investigating and trying to get Ms. Hudson to come in and talk with us," Kennedy said.
Hudson refused to talk with police, so a decision was made to put a larger police presence at the child's unidentified school on Tuesday.
Kennedy said the mother was located today and arrested.
She is being held in lieu of a $25,000 court appearance bond. Hudson is also prohibited from possessing any weapons and is restricted from all Stamford schools properties, Kennedy said.
